HANG ON TO EACH OTHER
Jordan Sullivan
Mural Painted for the Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn, NY, 2019
The image has something to do with these last couple years of American life and American history. The picture has a lot to do with love and freedom and equality. It has to do with hope, a dream that things can get better in this country, and that somehow we can coexist. I like having this particular mural in a hotel in New York City where people from all over are coming and going and crossing paths, and, in some sense, sharing a space together. I think we are all bound to one another. Most of us are strangers, but we can still move together, and, no matter what, we all need each other.
